Temporary tattoo edges are a recent natural hair trend taking over social media. Women are purchasing temporary tattoos in designs that resemble styled “edges” and showcasing their new “edges” all over the Internet. And you should too!

Temporary tattoo edges are a great boost of confidence for those that do not have edges. They can also be used by ladies with edges for those hot summer days when edge control doesn’t hold up. Check out how to apply temporary edges below.

How To Apply Tattoo Edges?

Step 1: Clean your face

  1. Wash your face with a gentle face cleanser. Make sure you thoroughly dry your face.
  2. Use an alcohol pad to wipe around your hairline. Allow the alcohol to dry.

It is important to start with a clean base to make sure your tattoo applies properly

Step 2: Apply the tattoo

  1. Cut out the design you want in the size that best fits your hairline.
  2. Place the tattoo against your hairline.
  3. Remove the film on the front of the tattoo and apply water to the back of the tattoo. You can apply water with a washcloth or a spritz water bottle
  4. Make sure you apply pressure to the tattoo for at least 30 seconds.
  5. Slowly peel back the tattoo to reveal your new “edges”.

How To Remove Tattoo Edges?

Step 1: Apply oil to the tattoo

  1. Apply your choice of oil (i.e., coconut oil, grapeseed oilcastor oil) to the tattoo and gently massage the tattoo.

If the edges do not lift from the oil, try alcohol.
