Hey bestie, it’s your Internet BFF, Kaylannk here! Let’s talk Legos.

Do you remember the days of clicking colorful blocks together on the floor to create the most epic Lego creation ever? Those moments were filled with true joy and bliss for me. Well turns out recreating that same joy and happiness as an adult can be therapeutic and rewarding. So, get ready to trade in aimlessly scrolling on TikTok to click colorful blocks.

Why You Need To Play With Legos?

These are the six reasons it is time to pick up a block:

  1. Stress Relief: Repetitive actions have a calming effect. It lowers your heart rate and reduces anxiety. Sorting and building blocks are repetitive actions that have calming effects.

2. Social Media Detox: Escape from social media and technology by focusing on one task where you have to read and follow instructions.

3. Use Your Imagination: You have endless possibilities when you build with blocks. Let your imagination run wild and build whatever your heart desires.

4. Sense of Accomplishment: Finishing a Lego set, big or small, is a task that you will truly enjoy.

5. Connect with Others: Building Legos is a great social activity. You can gather your friends and family for a Lego party, where you challenge each other to complete Lego sets in under an hour.

6. Improve Cognitive Skills: Studies show that Lego building can enhance problem-solving skills, spatial reasoning, and fine motor coordination in children (and who’s to say you are not a child at heart).
