1. Shampoo

On a regular basis, I use the Garnier Whole Blends Honey Treasures Repairing Shampoo. The product is moisturizing and leaves my hair feeling soft.

When I have product buildup, I like using the Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo with Avocado. It removes a week’s worth of gel from my hair. I only use this shampoo to get rid of product build up because it has left my hair feeling extremely dry a few times.

2. Conditioner

Aussie Miracle Moist Conditioner with Avocado is the best conditioner I have ever used. The conditioner is moisturizing. It is also a great detangler.

I use a lot of conditioner to detangle my hair. At this price point, I feel comfortable using a lot of product.

3. Leave In Conditioner

I like using Cantu Shea Butter Leave In Conditioner Repair Cream for every style that I do. Braid outs. Twist outs. Wash and gos. Sleek buns. You name it, I use it.  This product is thick and moisturizing.

I apply this product to damp hair before I apply my choice of gel. This conditioner works well with most stylers and gels.

4. Gel

Some gels have a light hold and others have a strong hold. I prefer gels with a strong hold because I like for my hairstyles to last a few days at a time. I like the new Wet Line Xtreme Professional Styling Gel with the blue top. I use this product to sleek down my hair and to define my wash and gos. I also use this gel as edge control.

I apply this gel after my leave in conditioner of choice.

I have never experienced crunchy curls after using this product. However, I have experienced flakes from this product. To prevent hair flakes from gel, I make sure I moisturize my hair properly before applying the gel.

5. Oil

I can use any type of oil to moisturize my hair. I like to use coconut oil because it as a pleasant smell. I have also noticed that it has thicken my hair from regular use.

I like to apply coconut oil to my hair before I apply my leave in conditioner of choice and after I apply my gel of choice. In between wash days, I spritz my hair with water and apply the oil to my hair.
